As part of a larger masterplan for the site Atkins was responsible for the delivery for two academic buildings up to RIBA Stage 3 including a Creative Arts Building and a teaching and governance building (now called the Senate Building).
 
The Senate building includes an open source business space space on the ground floor, lecture room and teaching facilities on the upper floors and staff office and meeting spaces on the top floor with commanding views across the site from the roof terraces to the east and west.
 
Matthew was Project Architect at Atkins for the Senate Building from Stage 0 through to Stage 3 including a successful planning application.
