Morford Street

Project:  Extensive refurbishment and extension to a townhouse in the heart of Bath.
Client:    Private

The property hadn't been touched since it was built in the mid 20th century and was in need of updating and modernisation.

The project involved a top down reordering and renovation, opening up the floor plan to bring in more light and also ceilings within the main bedroom to give a greater sense of space.

The main communal area on the first floor is now dual aspect with views out to the street below and garden to the rear.

Here we added a small extension to provide an additional multipurpose room for guest accommodation, study and hobby activities. The extension mimics the colours of the main property and opens out into a small courtyard garden. Again height internally is maximised by exposing the timber structure which gives the space a formality and rhythm.
